about

I work at Affirm as an engineering leader for securing and protecting Affirm’s infrastructure. I have previously worked at Netflix leading all aspects of network security and Zero Trust networking initiatives. Before Netflix, I led the global network and infrastructure security and software engineering organizations at AWS. I have been awarded several patents for several AWS core services and contributed towards development of many customer-facing products and services.

In the past, I started two small businesses. My first business focused on providing technology services to businesses in the Chicago area. I started another business which is currently serving businesses in the Dallas area. I am passionate about technology and growing teams. My professional career has taken me on various journeys of software-, systems-, networking- and security engineering: from securing one of the largest networks in the world to full-stack development and from leading large global organizations to building small teams.

I built the curriculum and taught the graduate course on Software Defined Networking and Cloud Computing at Southern Methodist University’s Lyle School of Engineering for 1.5 years. I am passionate about contributing back and regularly do career counseling, mentoring and coaching.
